ATAM ACADEMY equips young people with the values and vision to pursue their dreams. We strive to change the mindsets of young people, so they believe in themselves and what they can accomplish. Our experiential education model instills entrepreneurial and economic principles built for prosperity. We inspire students to overcome barriers and seize opportunities for good.

ATAM ACADEMY programs —- in the core content areas of work readiness, entrepreneurship, and financial literacy—- ignites the spark in young people to experience and realize the opportunities and realities of work and life balance in the 21st century is the pathway to success. Giving a young person a choice means giving them power, which is why ATAM ACADEMY chooses to go beyond just acquiring knowledge, but instead focus on how to engage young people’s experience through the power of choice and influence so that young people can withstand traditional norms of business empowerment.  

SOCA AMBASSADORS PROMOS, INC is a subsidiary of the ATAM Academy Enrichment Program and serves as the primary pilot project through which our educational initiatives are put into practice.

MISSION STATEMENT

ATAM empowers young people to make healthy lifestyle choices by providing educational services that foster a safe and work-readiness environment through entrepreneurship, financial literacy skills, and the engagement of experiential learning that cultivate opportunities to dream big and to reach their full potential.

PURPOSE

ATAM Academy’s purpose is to inspire young leaders to succeed in entrepreneurial development programs through the awareness of cultural, social and supportive opportunities to empower and enhance the socio-economic welfare in a global economy.

ATAM ACADEMY: THEORY AND HISTORY

ATAM ACADEMY is a 501(c)3 organizations that started in January 2018.  The word ATAM is derived from the Egyptian prefix verb meaning finish or complete, which inspired ATAM’s acronym, Dreams & Opportunities. In 2017, ATAM began developing as the educational sector of SOCA AMBASSADORS PROMOS, INC. In conjunction with the promotional and advertising business, ATAM Academy instrumented a pipeline of traditional prevention, actively engaging young people in realtime business internship opportunities all while addressing fundamental root causes of trickle-down prosperity. In March 2018, ATAM became the centerpiece of how SOCA AMBASSADORS PROMOS gives back to the communities all while serving young people who need the vision to see and know that there are individuals who believe in their dream.

CORE PROGRAMS

Acquainting our youth with the principles and effective strategies in advertising, promotions, and marketing campaigns which are essential for organizations as they seek to maintain and expand their share of the market.

Youth are trained as small business owners who make a wide variety of legal and financial decisions in their day-to-day operations. They learn about the best practices for building and sustaining Solid Small Business Operations,  and managing the inner workings of your business so it runs as efficiently as possible.

In this program youth discover how to build a business around their interests, starting from scratch, allowing them to empower themselves to live life on their own terms and to live out their unique purposes.

Youth are sensitized on the factors which contribute to long-term economic prosperity and groomed on implementation of the habits and practices which will direct them in that path.

MOVING FORWARD: THE FUTURE OF ATAM

Since its start, ATAM has hosted an average of 70 promotional events per year in approximately 25 different locations, drawing thousands of young people to participate in safe, drug-free activities. ATAM has learned that young people appreciate these, and thrive with opportunities to feel safe and accepted. It’s time to build on our success and find a permanent home to host business principals workshop events so that instead of supporting young people just one day, we would like to expand our services throughout the Caribbean. We are working towards opening a business empowerment Center so that we can educate and build entrepreneurs’ by empowering young people to make healthy choices while providing healthy alternatives and a safe space

“Starting at age 13, I fell into habits of smoking weed and drinking. At first not much was affected, I maintained school and other obligations pretty well, but after about a year I slipped into more extensive drug use.
